This is silly. Our west African cousins see Afros as “first worldness”, no one rocks afros outside of east africa. Only African ethnic groups I can recall that don fros are the Hadendoa, Afar, and Karrayyu. All East African. I’ve had west African immigrants come up to me asking me what my hairstyle was. It’s not your roots so stop making it as a connection to a continent you probably never visited. You’re projecting your western identity onto a continent that does share your embrace. This is just plain old western ignorance at its finest.
